Very often, the expression “modern interior space” is puzzling, since the voiced concept includes a huge number of ideas and trends. This is not about a particular style of decoration of a room or apartment, but rather about the concept that underlies the design decisions of the past few years.

If in the XV century the basis of the decor of the room was a lot of furniture, a combination of different textures and the use of several colors, in the XXI century this design will be considered a complete bad taste.

The modern interior is based on several postulates:

Today’s realities no longer require designers to pretentiousness and jumble of various items and accessories. The house is no longer regarded as the only person’s residence for 24 hours.

Is there a place for creativity in a modern interior?

Many people mistakenly believe that the modern trend in the field of interior design completely eliminates the creative approach to decorating. Despite the presence of well-defined rules, do not forget about the absence of restrictions in the form of a specific style.

The minimum number of interior items does not mean their complete absence. It is about the importance and functionality of each of them. Since one of the main tenets of the modern trend in design is the presence of straight lines, you can always decorate the room using round or oval furniture. Such a decision does not contradict the rule of compliance with a clear form.

Floor and wall covering must be made in the same color range. However, no one forbids the use of monochrome colors and the creation of contrasts. Thus, you do not go beyond the set frames, just consider them from a different angle.

The modern interior assumes the absence of meaningless objects and accessories. At the same time, it is this indicator that allows you to create an individual style of the room, advantageously beating each element present in it.
